June is LGBTQ+ Pride month! 🌈 It's a time to honour the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community across the globe. The Stonewall Uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the USA and saw the LGBTQ+ community stand against police brutality for six days. The first Pride march was held exactly a year afterwards in June 1970 and is deemed to be the birth of the Pride march that many of us know and love today.

Pride month centres on education in pride history and how we need to continually strive for greater equality and gay rights. This is why we've pulled together our favourite LGBTQ+ resources, from podcasts to books and films, these are some our our top picks...

At UpCircle HQ, all of our team will be reading, listening or watching one of the below LGBTQ+ resources each week in June.
